Mandirigma Rhyolite, Magnesite + Tigers Eye Necklace

Listing is for 27 inch piece. Irregular rhyolite points, white magnestie + tigers eye necklace with a 24k gold clasp.

Rhyolite is an igneous, volcanic rock. As magma during an active eruption brews beneath the surface, granite begins to form. During this time, these subsurface, newly formed crystalline structures are occasionally ejected1. Scientists theorize the magma's high concentration of volatile compounds may have come from seawater, allowing the rhyolite to form. Rhyolite, and its dense complexity, reminds one of the compounded, mosaic universe and Earth around us. Harboring energies of transformational flow, just like the magma that once created this volcanic rock, it connects us to renewal and restoration.

White magnesite is often matte and chalky in its original state with a dark thread of veins or a web-like matrix across its surface. It was once a trade currency in indiginous communities like the Pomo of California. It is a deeply calming stone, assisting "no-mind" meditation and relaxation of busy energy. It is somewhere between 3.5-4.5 on the Mohs scale, which makes the stone easy to carve.

Known since the 1800s as a protective amulet, Tiger Eye is known for its chatoyancy and shine. This cat-eye shimmering effect is caused by the mineral’s natural parallel structures and reflective light that hits these minute, needle-like fibers. Gold tigers eye and its wild energy is a stone that has been known to cause minor “obsessions” with people as it brings out the energetic, personal needs and desires within the individual.
